1. EXW의 의미

- EX Work: 공장인도조건

- 매도인(Seller)이 물품을 매도인의 영업장소, 공장 혹은 창고 같은 지정된 장소 에서 매수인 (Buyer)의 처분하에 두었을 때 위험과 비용이 매수인에게 인도되는 조건.

- 매수인이 지정한 장소까지 제품 운송에 해당되는 비용과 위험을 모두 매수인이 지불하는 조건

 

2. EXW의 특징

- 표기방법: EXW + 적출지 장소 (Insert named place of delivery) ex) EXW Kim's factory, Incoterms 2020

- 단일 또는 복수의 운송방식에 사용 가능한 규칙 (Rules for any mode or modes of transport)

- Incoterms 중 매도인의 위험과 비용 부담이 가장 적은 조건이다.

   (EXW is the incoterms rule which imposes the least set of obligations on the seller.)

- 복합운송, 내륙운송, 해상운송 등 모든 운송방식에 적용될 수 있다.

   (Mode of transport: This rule may be used irrespective of the mode or modes of transport, if any, selected.)

- 매도인은 매수인 차량에 적재 의무가 없으며, 수출입통관, 운송인의 선정 등 어떠한 책임도 지지 않는다.

- 매도인과 매수인은 모두 보험계약 체결의 의무가 없다.

- 매수인은 물품를 수령하였다는 증거를 매도인에게 제공하여야 한다.

- 매수인이 수출/수입 통관의 의무를 갖는다. (매수인이 수출통관이 곤란항 경우에는 FCA 조건이 더 적합하다.)

- Delivery and Risk: "Ex Works" means that the seller delivers the goods to the buyer 

  ˙ when it places the goods at the disposal of the buyer at a named place (like a factory or warehouse), and

  ˙ that named place may or may not be the seller's premises.

- For delivery to occur, the seller does not need to load the goods on any collecting vehicle, nor does not clear the goods for export, where such clearance is applicable.
